Barbara Walters finds Neil Patrick Harris “fascinating” – Scarlett Johansson, Oprah & Chelsea Handler too

October is not yet over with but the ever-eager Barbara Walters is already leaking out some of the names to be featured on her annual 10 Most Fascinating People to air in December.

So four names have so far been revealed. The first is Scarlett Johansson which I find cool because we don’t see tons of interviews of this sort with her. There’s also Chelsea Handler and that should be fun for sure and it’s a good choice.

Then, for some reason, there’s Oprah Winfrey who is always fascinating but I’m not sure why more this year than other years.

Then there’s a terrific choice: Neil Patrick Harris.

He began the year with the last season of How I Met Your Mother then went straight into Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway. He won his first Tony Award, co-starred in the movies Gone Girl and A Million Ways to Die in the West, released his autobiography and was chosen as host of the 2015 Academy Awards.

Oh yeah, he also got married to David Burtka.

Said Walters in a statement: “I was absolutely delighted when ABC approached me to do another year of ’10 Most Fascinating People.’ I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there…and you never pass up the opportunity to interview Oprah, Neil, Chelsea or Scarlett.”
