“As the World Turns” recap: Luke and Noah go to New York – and so do Lily, Holden and sneaky Damien

It’s really silly how everyone decides to go to New York all of a sudden.

But, what the heck.

Damien asks Lily to accompany him to a meeting to try and get some money for Luke’s foundation and she agrees – without bothering to mention it to Holden. Meanwhile, Luke and Noah are sitting on the porch at home talking suggestively about hiw Luke is going to take care of the recovering Noah. (Remember, Noah got shot like two weeks ago?). Holden pops in and suggests they take Lucinda’s private jet to New York to catch a Cubs-Mets game. A private jet – how convenient!

So of course they all run each other when both Lily and Holden choose the same restaurant to have lunch at. It’s so lovely how Lily and Holden discover each other – so romantic – until Damien pops up. Holden is not pleased but Lily is convincing in telling him why she’s there with Luke’s biological daddy. When Luke and Noah show up, it’s almost comical how Luke is suddenly 1o years old looking at Damien and saying to Holden: “Dad, are you OKAY with this?”

But it’s all smoothed over and later, as they wait for Lucinda’s plane to take them home, Luke gets a line of dialogue to tie this odd little outing to the recent plot line of being kidnapped, held hostage, shot etc: “You know, I think Noah completely forgot about Zac and Zoey and the hospital.”

Ha!

In the end, we get a hint that Damien is, of course, up to something.
