As the World Turns: Luke’s two dads face off!

Luke and Noah and Lliy seem so naive about Damien but Holden and Lucinda are not!

The whole shipping deal involving Damien is really lame but I love that it has Holden and Lucinda teaming up trying to expose Luke’s biological father as being up to something. They are detained at gunpoint by an armed guard on the docks and Holden and Damien get heated.

While Lily seems like a total moron for defending Damien, Luke does a gut check and confronts Damien:  ‘Someone held a gun to my grandmother and my father…I know my dad hates your guts but he’s not a liar and he’s not an idiot. He thinks something suspicious is going on down at the dicks and I’m inclined to believe him …I trust his instincts”

Damien: “But you still cannot trust me?”

I love what Luke says next- and actor Van Hansis really excels this kind of dialogue because it seems to come from the heart: Damien if you want any sort of relationship like i have with my father, then you have to treat me with the same respect he does. you have to make me believe in you the way he does….You have to be honest with me.”

Damien admits that there is some sort of secret operation involving the Grimaldi shipping operation but can’t give any specifics: “Right now, I have to make sure no one will be harmed….I give you my solemn word that what I’m doing is not wrong, you have to believe me.”
