Anne Hathaway on why she left the Catholic Church

Anne Hathaway, star of The Devil Wears Prada and an Oscar nominee for Rachel Getting Married, tells GQ that she left the Catholic Church after her older brother came out as a gay man.

“The whole family converted to Episcopalianism after my elder brother came out,” she said. “Why should I support an organisation that has a limited view of my beloved brother? So I’m… nothing. Fuck it, I’m forming. I’m a work in progress.”
