Andy Roddick’s recurring nightmare
Let’s try and figure out what Andy Roddick is thinking. Could it be: “Don’t I look cute in my white hat?” or “I wonder when Greg In Hollywood is gonna post another photo of me. It’s been like days.”
Nope. What he’s probably thinking is: “If Roger Federer is supposed to be in decline, why can’t I beat him?”
America’s number one tennis player is playing terrific tennis this year but Federer remains his nemesis.
Andy had to like his chances going into Wednesday night’s quarterfinal match at the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne. He split the first two sets with the world number two but in the end, lost 6-3, 4-6, 6.4.
So why do I call this a recurring nightmare? Roddick’s head-to-head record against Federer is now a dismal 17-2.
Better luck next time Andy!
