Andy Cohen won’t hosting Miss Universe pageant in Moscow because as gay man, he wouldn’t feel safe
For the past two years, Andy Cohen has co-hosted the Miss Universe pageant with Giuliana Rancic.
But he turned down an offer to return because this year’s event will be in Moscow, Russia where a draconian anti-gay propaganda law went into effect earlier this year.
The openly gay Bravo executive and host of Watch What Happens Livetold Rancic on her E! News program that Russia’s “discriminatory policies make it unsafe for the gays who live there and gays coming to work or visit.”
“[I] didn’t feel right as a gay man stepping foot into Russia.”

Kevin says:
You know … as much as I like Andy and appreciate his stance, I don’t think the Russians are going to care if Andy is there or not.
