Anderson Cooper giggled after getting a surprise gold spray tan from Kathy Griffin last night

You had to know it something crazy would happen with the wild card that is Kathy Griffin.

On last night’s CNN’s New Year’s Eve live from New York City’s Times Square, the comic found new ways to embarrass her co-host Anderson Cooper.

At one point during the telecast, Griffin covered Cooper’s eyes with spoons and proceeded to give him a ‘spray tan’ because the fair-skinned journalist has often complained that he is too pale.

Only his ‘tan’ turned out to be gold!

Yes, the man known as The Silver Fox was now gold.

Cooper took the prank well and laughed it off with his signature giggle.

Griffin also walked on to the stage wearing just her bra on top and later, 83% of viewers polled said they prefer with with her top on.

The comic also planted a kiss on the lips of newly out Olympic free-skier Gus Kenworthy.
