Anderson Cooper calls out Alec Baldwin: “It would be over” if he used N-word or anti-semitic slur

Anderson Cooper had a round-table discussion on his CNN show last night about Alec Baldwin’s “cocksucking fag” scandal and makes an interesting point: If he ‘had yelled the N word to that photographer or yelled an anti-Jewish slur against that photographer, it would be over.’
Paula Dean admitted to using the N-word in her past and lost her TV show, her partnerships with department stores and so much more.
Baldwin was captured, on video, calling a photographer a “cocksucking fag.” So far, the fallout has been limited to his MSNBC show being pulled for two weeks.
What do you think?
Do you see much difference between the two situations?
Add to it that Baldwin’s post-slur behavior has been ill-advised. He denies saying “fag” despite the evidence, claims to have not known calling someone a “cocksucker” was an anti-gay slur, and claims to not be homophobic.
I’d consider giving him the benefit of the doubt had he not earlier this year referred to a gay journalist as a “toxic little queen” and wrote on Twitter that he’s shove his foot up the guy’s rear-end except that the guy would probably enjoy it.
He seems to have blown it big-time and should take the time to reflect on himself and his actions.

How many times is Alec gonna get a slap on the wrist for his little rants? Hes just an over rated ham! No offense to the hogs!
Sam says:
Kudos to Anderson Cooper’s round-table new show…the best intelligent and spirited format CNN had presented in a while. It was also great to see Anderson’s passion and outrage along with his fellow journalists in exposing Alec’s Jekyll and Hyde nature. And thanks for bring up the actor’s hypocrisy here.
Larry says:
Slyvester Stallone said the N word and nothing has happened to him Anderson. Celebrities say all kinds of racist comments towards black people and nothing ever happens. Anderson is so ignorant in his thinking that if your black you’re protected by swift justice when the reality is blacks have it worse than gays
