“American Idol” down to top 3! Can Casey or Lee stop Crystal Bowersox’s march to the 2010 title?
Just two more weeks to go before Crystal Bowersox is crowned American Idol champion. Oh, did I jump the gun? She’s just so much better than everyone else – and has been from the very beginning – that it’s just got to go her way.
But, if Adam Lambert could come in second last year (still a head-scratcher) than anything can happen.
Last night, Michael Lynche was sent packing. He had a most excellent run and was saved by judges last month after being voted off. He made the most of his stay of execution and it really seemed that either he or Casey James could have gone home last night.That’s why Casey looked more relieved than anyone!
I was feeling like Lee DeWyze was surpassing Crystal as the probable winner but I’ve changed my mind. He’s got super talent and good looks but does not articulate himself well in the interviews.
Not that host Ryan Seacrest makes things any easier for anyone. He’s an awkward interviewer on the show (he’s much better on radio) and last night’s elimination was handled poorly with Michael left standing there with Crystal in the end. He told Casey he was safe after saying: “Michael … keep standing there.”
Not cool.
Next week will be less humdrum because the three finalists will have visited their hometowns so we can see that excitement.
Good luck Michael with your career as well as to Casey, Lee and Crystal for the rest of the competition.

Kris Allen demonstrated that basically the vote of American Idol is drawn mostly by eager females. And so far the fact that Casey is still standing -against other contestants that were vocally superior- is proof that he has a shot on being the winner. Obviously Crystal is superior by far. What is worrying –IMHO- is that on the show they keep showing Crystal’s gorgeous new boyfriend –suspicious timing- and that could play against her, as many women are jealous bxxxxxs. As far as they showed the maternal side of her I guess it was ok because she didn’t represented any unconscious threat.
