Alan Thicke on Kirk Cameron’s anti-gay views: ‘The Old Testament simply can’t be expected to explain everything’
When he played Mike Seaver on Growing Pains for seven seasons, Kirk Cameron got into plenty of trouble.
Now he’s given his TV dad, Alan Thicke, a whole other headache with his comments against gay marriage and homosexuality being ‘detrimental,’ ‘unnatural’ and ‘ultimately destructive.’
Following in the footsteps of fellow Pains castmember Tracey Gold, Thicke took to Twitter this afternoon to comment on the growing controversy:’ I’ll address kirk’s comments as soon as I recover from rush limbaugh’s. … I’m getting him some new books. The Old Testament simply can’t be expected to explain everything.’
UPDATE: Thicke has just added this tweet about Cameron: “I love Kirk but I may have to spank him…’tho not in a gay way!”

David says:
Why not….he needs a good ol fashioned gay spanking,
Lisa Compton says:
Scriptures in the New Testament also speak against homosexuality. This is God’s word and God’s plan for man. Anyone who claims to believe the Bible should believe this.
K. Martinez says:
Well Lisa, I don’t believe the bible. Considering mankind has been on earth a very short time and that sex has been around long before christianity showed up, I find people quoting scriptures pertaining to sexuality quite laughable.
Chip says:
Lisa, I sincerely hope you follow each and every other tenet of the Bible or at the very least you go around posting on every divorce story and add protests to you reviews of clothing with various fibers. Have you boycotted Red Lobster yet?
Ron says:
If you’re living like there’s no God, you better be right.

Alan Thicke is still a furry sexy man!
