Afternoon Greg: The many faces of Ryan Reynolds, Jackman has no hosting advice for NPH; and happy birthday Justin Long

Good afternoon!
Hope it’s been a good day for you so far. I’ve been working from home today and the Internet connection has been so spotty that I’m about to start drinking at my desk!
So hey, do you think it is possible for Ryan Reynolds to take a bad picture? I’m starting to think he is THE most photogenic man in Hollywood – even more so than Hugh Jackman, Tom Cruise or even Brad Pitt.
AfterElton.com put together a nice collection of Ryan photos – a different expression in each – taken at last night’s premiere in Hollywood of Ryan’s new romantic comedy with Sandra Bullock called The Proposal. Ryan is hot, hot hot right now coming off of the success of X-Men Orgins: Wolverine.
Ryan is smart in the way that Bruce Willis always has been: he mixes up genres and also alternates between big studio films to more edgy stuff. He’s come a long ways since Van Wilder and Buying the Cow!
Personally, I’d watch Ryan in anything!

HOST WITH THE MOST: I’m very excited for Sunday night’s Tony Awards (and if you are gay and not watching, you are required to turn in your gay card!).
Not only is the show the best in terms of performances, watching is a great way to plan for a theater trip to NYC! There are many big stars up for Tonys this year adding to all the excitement. Angela Lansbury, never an Emmy winner despite 20-plus nominations, is the front-runner to win her fifth Tony Award – and her first for a supporting role.
Also in the hunt: Oscar winner Geoffrey Rush is the man to beat for best actor in a play and up for best actress in a play is two-time Oscar winner and Emmy winner Jane Fonda in her first Broadway show since the mid-60s.
And presiding over all of this will be the talented and funny as heck Neil Patrick Harris who is getting a lot of high-profile hosting gigs now and that is a very good thing. Hugh Jackman, a former Tony winner and three-time host of the awards, was asked by New York magazine if he had any advice for Neil.
“He’s a very funny guy,” Hugh said. “He’ll do better than me. He shouldn’t listen to anything I say.”
But NPH has high praise for Jackman: “He’s eclipsed everyone in the hosting world. He’s the new [Billy] Crystal.”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUSTIN: I don’t know if I’ve ever publicly stated this before but here goes: I have a huge crush on Justin Long! It hit me full force while watching He’s Just Not That Into You and found him, and his character, to be completely adorable.
Then shortly after that, I rented Zach and Miri Make a Porno and Justin played the boyfriend who Brandon Routh (Superman Returns) brings to his high school reunion. So now it’s a matter of going back every once in awhile and checking out some of Justin’s movies that I have not see like Accepted.
I’m not sure if he and Drew Barrymore are still dating (they were then they weren’t then maybe they were etc) but whoever is lucky enough to be with Justin, just know that you are living my dream.
Justin turns 31 years old today.
