Afternoon Greg: Bye-bye Sarah Palin? You betcha!

I’m trying to have a good weekend despite the flair-up of a back problem. Heating pad on as I watch the Wimbledon matches with my dad.

So just a quick column today: WTF is this about Sarah Palin resigning as governor of Alaska? The woman who John McCain supposedly believed was qualified to be a heartbeat away from the presidency, the woman who ran such a hateful and divisive campaign, the woman who could see Russia from her house.

I have found few people in politics as loathsome as this woman and I hope her resignation means she will mean she will disappear but somehow, I don’t think we’ll be so lucky.

I’ve watched her rambling resignation speech and I honestly do not know what the hell she is talking about. Anderson Cooper remarked that it was stunning “both grammatically and politically.” See for yourself.
