After getting flack from some, Carrie Underwood not eager to revisit gay marriage comments
Well, you had to figure Carrie Underwood was going to get some grief for her support of gay marriage.
After all, she’s a Christian and she’s a country music star and it seems that it’s a very difficult thing to be those things and accepting of gays too!
Carrie isn’t backing away from her statements last week saying that everyone has the right to ‘love publicly,’ but it’s clear she’s not going to be making any PSAs for GLAAD or HRC anytime soon.
‘I was asked a difficult question in the last five minutes of an interview and I answered it the best way I knew how,’ she told the Associated Press earlier today. ‘After that I do what I do and I love making music and I generally try to stay out of any kind of controversy.’

Saddens me that being asked about marriage equality is a ‘difficult question’ in Ms. Underwoods circle.

Agreed, FAEN… But I have to admit, I was surprised that Carrie formed her own opinion on the matter. I’m proud of her. I also find most amusing and a bit hypocritical how the Country Music community prides itself on this sort of down home hospitality — just as long as you aren’t queer!… [sarcasm]

Well said Robert. If we were on Huff Post I would Fan and Fave you:-)

With the Christian and Country Music communities being so very anti-gay, I am *very* proud of Carrie, bless her heart. All the backlash she’s experiencing won’t hurt her career though because she’s very special in every way. It makes me sad that she has to experience this though just for what she stated.
Carole says:
What it shows me is that Carrie chose to be PC rather than stand on Biblical principles. Yes you should love everyone despite their sins. We all sin. But the Bible clearly states that homosexuality is a sin and Carrie chose the world view over God’s view. If Carrie were a true Christian walking with God daily, the Holy Spirit would have convicted her on the spot.
