After being convinced to strip and masturbate during photo shoot, model suing Abercrombie & Fitch

Okay, this is one of the more unlikely lawsuits filed so far this summer!

Abercrombie & Fitch model Benjamine Bowers claims that he was flown to Mississippi in 2011 for a photo shoot and once there, a modeling agent suggested he take his clothes off and masturbate in order to achieve a more ‘relaxed’ look.

Bowers is suing the retailer and modeling agent Brian Hilburn for $1 million, according to TMZ.com.

The model claims that during the photo shoot, Hilburn told him the best way to appear “relaxed” on camera would be to take his clothes off and masturbate so the photographer could capture his expression immediately after achieving orgasm.

Bowers complied but clearly he later felt what had gone down wasn’t proper!

He also alleges that Hilburn exposed himself during the shoot.

9 Remarks

  1. Not that I’m trying to minimize the severity of something like this – because if it’s true then heads should roll. But, at what point does the common sense part of your brain say ..”This isn’t right, I am so f*cking outta here!”. I mean for crying out loud, he whipped out his penis and masturbated in front of complete strangers. I don’t think at my youngest age I would have EVER fallen for that “it relaxes you” line of crap!

  2. Agree with Robert. At his age most people would know this doesn’t seem normal and speak up. It may very well provide the “relaxed” look they want, but he could have gone into a trailer/tent/etc. if that was so important.

  3. Maybe the heat of the moment? I interviewed years ago for a waiter job at a gay Chicago restaurant, and the manager, on my second interview, told me that, to get the job, I had to have sex with him. I just walked out.

A&F models don’t leave much to the imagination anyhow, but this is over the top!

  4. I’m sure he signed an artist’s release that will stop this from going forward. Anything he did at the shoot would be covered. He is SOL.

  5. Frankly speaking, this might happened.
Our world is kind of cruel (it is not a Disney land apparently) and sometimes people with money/power/previlege will abuse what they’ve got.

  6. So he did it. Chalk one up to poor judgment on that one. However, if the agent exposed himself while he was doing it, that was the time to stop everything at at once, no questions asked.

    ND Mitchell says:

Models know the right and wrong reasons to do things. Come on….Mommy and Daddy are not always there to help and protect them or even come to their photo shoots. If you are over 21, you should have known better. Hell…if the pay is right…I would have done it..no questions asked…lol.

  8. While I see the problem here, the model shouldn’t have gone through with this in the first place. He did CHOOSE to take the photographer’s direction, didn’t he?

Maybe now he just wants money.

    Robert Mobley says:

What a joke. Doesn’t the boy know how to say “NO”?
Thats why our court systems are so backed up. How much will this cost us taxpayers?
He should have to pay a hefty fine for wasting everyone’s time!
