Adam Lambert returns to “American Idol” next week!

American Idol will do well this season if it manages to produce a star who can approach that talent and charisma of the show’s runner-up from a few seasons back, Adam Lambert.

With a hit album,  successful tour and a Grammy nomination under his belt, Adam is the real deal and will return to Idol in all his glory next week on Thursday’s show.

Adam announced via Twitter that he will be performing his song Aftermath.

The remix will then be available for purchase on his website, with proceeds benefiting The Trevor Project.

Adam’s appearance comes as Idol continues to thrive with its new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez who have helped to make the show watchable again. Plus, there are some mighty talented finalists this season.
