Actor Ben Aldridge comes out publicly: “The journey to pride was a long one for me”

English actor Ben Aldridge, 34, has come out publicly in an Instagram post.

Best known for Pennyworth, Fleabag and the BBC series Our Girl, Aldridge writes: “The journey to pride was a long one for me. I love the LGBTQ+ community and am incredibly proud and thankful to be a part of it. So much won. So much more to fight for.”

Aldridge graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and in 2014 he was cast in The CW’s series Reign as King Antoine of Navarre.
