A tribute to the great Dusty Springfield who was born 77 years ago today but left us far too soon
The wonderfully talented Dusty Springfield would have turned 77 today had she not left us far too soon.
I just love the work of this legendary singer who died in 1999 just shy of her 60th birthday.
She left behind a beautiful body of work.
I especially love her big hair TV appearances in the 60s and have several of them here for you to enjoy. And then, of course, there is Son of a Preacher Man.

I’ve loved Dusty Springfield ever since hearing Golden Pins and Silver Needles by The Springfields way back when. She was a lovely woman with an incredible voice. I so wish all those old songs could be remastered with today’s technology.
