A juicy episode of “As the World Turns”

I’ve been following this CBS soap for a few years now – ever since the character of Luke Snyder (Van Hansis) came out to his family. Then he met Noah (Jake Silbermann) in college and the rest is history. It’s been a mostly frustrating courtship (Noah’s dad shot Luke, Noah married an Iraqi woman, Luke snogged his step-grandpa) with some lovely moments in between. It is all elevated by the Emmy-nominated performance of Hansis who makes us care about Luke no matter what. In recent months, the show has featured a silly drug-murder plotline that was a failure because no one really knew the victim or had any emotional investment in him. And so Thursday’s episode went very far in getting Luke’s storyline back on track. And best of all, it marked the return to the show of that step-grandpa, Brian, who happens to be played by the very sexy Laurence Lau who is welcome in my living room any time!
