Greg In Hollywood at WeHo Pride Parade!

Happy Monday everyone and happy LGBTQ+ Pride Month! Yesterday was the WeHo Pride Parade which I never miss and it was quite a scene!

There was so much love and unconditional acceptance and support along the parade route and I didn’t realize how much I needed it and how much it would lift me.

So many great LGBTQ+ people living their authentic lives and I’m proud to be among them. I feel especially grateful to our beautiful allies who show up this season and always.

I’m unable to embed my Instagram post here on the blog and hope to sort that out soon. But if you aren’t following me there at greginhollywood, please do! I post there often and not all of the content makes it onto the blog.

Former NFL player Chris Kluwe, who I have admired and appreciated for years, was Pride’s Ally Icon honoree and how well deserved that was! Here’s what he said in a statement about the honor: “I am incredibly honored to be recognized as an Icon by the West Hollywood community. As a cis-het white dude, I challenge others like myself to join me in fighting for LGBTQIA+ rights, because a system that only benefits people like me is an unjust, un-American system that I refuse to abide by. True freedom requires us to stand with, and for, each other….”

How fun to see Peter Paige as I arrived to the parade route. He was marching with Directors Guild of America. The former “Queer As Folk” star has a long list of producing, directing and writing credits including “Station 19,” “The Fosters” and “Good Trouble.”

Among the notables in the parade: Guardian icon Cara Delevingne; US Congresswoman Maxine Waters; CA Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur; attorney Gloria Allred; Sutton Stracke of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and huge applause for LA County Firefighters.
