2010 Greggys: Music Star of the Year is the tirelessly touring Grammy nominee Adam Lambert!

When the year began, Adam Lambert was still living down his controversial performance at the 2009 American Music Awards.

What I saw from him after that was most impressive: He simply got to work. Adam focused not on the hype, but on his music and on his live shows and proved himself to be a total professional.

Adoring fans from around the world flocked to his shows during Adam;s six month Glam Nation Tour in support of his For Your Entertainment album.

The openly gay performer, who we barely remember anymore was the 2009 runner-up on American Idol, was tireless as he did concerts, appeared on radio and television and kept his fans updated about it all on Twitter.

And then came the cherry on top of a very satisfying cake: A Grammy nomination!

For his energy, the excitement he brings to all he does, and his devotion to his fans, Adam wins the Greggy for Music Star of the Year!

  1. Adam Lambert is a whole new experience for me. He can certainly sing, but everything else about him just draws you in. 2011 should be a blast once his new album comes out, but for now I am just hoping for a well deserved Grammy.

  2. Adam is an amazing singer/performer. He is also a beautiful, open-hearted person. Also, to all of you who fans who decry his being labelled “openly gay” please realize how important this still is to all of us openly and not so openly gay people who live in this homophobic hate-filled world. He is proud of who he is and is someone for our GLBT youth to look at with hope and pride! His It’s Get Better vid is inspirational. Adam is our “Grammy nominated and openly gay singer”!

His vocal, performance, showmanship, work ethics are unbelievable, there’s no words to describe him. His got my greatest respects as an entertainer & as a person. Not to mention how beautiful he is inside & out. Thanks to the universe for bringing this amazing talented Adam lambert to us, thank you!!!
Grammy nominee Adam Lambert, yes, please bring home a GRAMMY!

PS: please do not use the “openly gay” as his adjective in the future, thank you.

Grammy Nominated Artist Adam Lambert (stealing the name of “Glammy” from Lil’s comment for future use…cleaver)
If the voting members of the “Glammy” awards are the music Industry professionals than one would think that it is a no brainer for them to vote Adam Lambert as the best male pop vocalist. And the someone within the music Industry award powers to be, please develop a category for posthumous recognitions, as it is becoming creepy (no pun intended)for MJ to be nominated a year plus after passing. Thank you for your personal acknowledgement award of Adam Lambert and his talents.
