Zachary Quinto finds James Franco inspiring & fearless “in terms of what he’s willing to tackle & look at”
The day after wrapping his three-week shoot on the film Michael, Zachary Quinto says he found his leading man James Franco to be ‘inspiring.’
Quinto plays the former lover of Franco’s character who went from gay magazine publisher to ‘ex-gay’ pastor.
‘I had a great time working with James,’ Quinto told The Backlot today.
The man who plays Spock in the current Star Trek movie franchise describes Franco as ‘sort of the standard for diversity and diversification in the multi-hyphenate world of actor/producer/artist.
‘I feel like he’s inspiring in a lot of ways. His fearlessness in terms of what he’s willing to tackle and look at and he’s another one that really looks out for other people and wants to share what he’s learned and how he’s grown, which I respect a lot.’
The pair posted several Instagram photos of themselves together that created a bit of buzz.
‘We got along really well,’ Quinto says. ‘We worked really well together … I’m really glad I did it and I’m glad it turned out as well as it did in terms of my experience of it.
‘I wish it had gone on a little longer.’
