“X Factor” winner Joe McElderry comes out as gay and says “I’m happy. I now know who I am.”
Here’s a feel good story to end my blogging day: 19-year-old Joe McElderry, the winner of the British talent competition TV show X Factor, has acknowledged publicly that he is gay.Previously, he had denied that he is gay but insists that he was not telling lies: “Every time I was asked, I gave honest answers. I wasn’t attracted to anyone anyway, male or female. It never really entered my head I was gay. … I’m single, I’ve not had a relationship with a boy, but I just know. It’s how I feel.”
Well, now that he knows, hope he has a wonderful time and a wonderful life. Professionally, he only has to look at the enormously popular Adam Lambert to know that being openly gay should not slow him down one bit.

It’s very strange what he said. Maybe he doesn’t want to be THAT clear, but saying that only very recently he knew that he was gay because he just feel like it, even if he never fell for a guy –or a girl for that matter- and that he never was with a boy –nothing wrong with that- I mean, come on guy, don’t you have hormones in your body? I mean, sometimes it’s not what you choose to think but what your dreams assaults you with by night, lol. But hey, maybe he’s unique or very special. But again, if he happens to be one of those extremely rare people who happen to be “asexual” –not interested in sex at all- declaring himself gay won’t improve that issue. I think he needs some counseling with some expert.

Ive been watching him on youtube and thought he was just so talented. I hope he continues on his journey and has the support he needs to succeed. I hear Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell have been VERY supportive of him with this and Kudos to them. Here’s hoping his album charts here like Susan Boyles did.
i suggest him to appear on GLEE as the hot transfer student Kurt falls for???

He’s only 19 and is probably coming out in a way that he’s comfortable with. For many people it’s a step by step process. I’ve known a few people who don’t even realize they’re gay or bisexual until mid-life. From watching the youtube clips I can see that Joe is very talented and I wish him all the success he deserves. Might I add he’s really good looking too!
