Wishing a happy 47th birthday to Sean Hayes!
He’s obviously best known for the delicious television character as Jack McFarland on Will & Grace. But Sean Hayes – who turns 47 today – has managed to do so much else than be ‘Just Jack.’ He was a smash on stage last year in An Act of God and had earned a Tony Award nomination in 2011 for the Broadway musical Promises, Promises. In addition to a few short-lived sitcoms (Sean Saves the World, The Millers), Sean is an executive producer of NBC’s Hollywood Game Night and Grimm and was also an executive producer of the long-running Hot In Cleveland.
‘I enjoy acting and producing equally,’ Sean told me last year in an interview. ‘I enjoy acting because it’s what love to do and producing is what I love to do and I’m also fascinated with how things are made and been fascinated by who makes that first phone call to create a project. And now that we are those people, we are content creators and deal makers, it’s very fulfilling in a way that acting isn’t.’ But what’s really cool is that Sean is stepping back into the role of Jack for the revival of Will & Grace – 12 new episodes next fall. We. Can’t. Wait.
