Wednesday Morning Man: Matt Lanter!

We don’t know if his 90210 character of Liam Court is the guy who will come out as gay next season but as long as we get a few shirtless scenes of Matt Lanter, I’m good.

Don’t tell anyone but Matt, who plays a high school student, is 27 years old! He has the fresh-scrubbed looks needed to act 10 years younger and let’s face it, he looks a lot more like a high school student than Luke Perry did in the original show!

Handsome Matt grew up in Georgia and was quite the busy kid! . He played baseball, football, basketball, gymnastics and golf and was a batboy for the Atlanta Braves.

He then attended University of Georgia as a Sports Business major but changed course when he was selected to compete in the Bravo reality show Manhunt: The Search for America’s Most Gorgeous Male Model.

He didn’t win but the Hollywood bug had bit and Matt moved to LA and was quickly cast in the Fox series Point Pleasant. Then he was the son if Geena Davis’s president of the United States in the criminally short-lived Commander-In-Chief.

Sources had told me there were plans to have the son come out as gay had the series continued so it would be ironic if it is Liam on 90120 who is the gay character.

Before 90210, Matt had guest starred in a number of TV series including Grey’s Anatomy, Monk, Heroes, Shark, Big Love, CSI, and Life.

He had the lead in the feature film Disaster Movie and had a role in Sorority Row. He has completed work in the films Vampires Suck and The Roommate which are awaiting release.
