Wednesday Morning Man: Len Wiseman!

This 35-year-old director and screenwriter with leading man looks grew up in Fremont, CA reading comics and dreaming of becoming a filmmaker.

He made that dream come true by co-creating and directing the box office hit Underworld and its sequel Underworld: Evolution. He then went on to direct Bruce Willis in Live Free or Die Hard.

Len prepared for those big directing jobs by working as a property assistant on films including Independence Day and Stargate  then directing advertisements for PlayStation console games and music videos for groups, such as Second Coming, En Vogue, Megadeth, Quarashi, and Static-X.

The Underworld franchise not only changed Len’s career but also his personal life. He became involved with leading lady Kate Beckinsale who was co-starring in the movie with longtime boyfriend Michael Sheen with whom she has a daughter.  She and Len were married in 2004.
