Wednesday Morning Man: Juan Martin Del Potro!
Was slogging through a four-miler on the Precor machine at the gym last night and this handsome guy was on the TV playing some tennis.
He’s Juan Martin Del Potro and he sure is a tall drink a water.
Juan Martin won the US Open back in 2009 by beating Rafael Nadal in the semifinals and Roger Federer in the final.
He seemed destined for more big titles but soon he began being plagued by a series of injuries that took him out of the game for long stretches.
Now 28, the Argentinian star has made a stirring comeback in the past year and climbed back up to a current ranking of 32.
He gave one of the strongest performances of his career in the 2016 Summer Olympics by defeating both Novak Djokovic in straight sets in the first round and Nadal, in the semi-finals before falling in the final to Andy Murray in 4 sets.
Later in the year he was part of the team to win the prestigious Davis Cup team competition.
