Wednesday Morning Man: Chris Evans!
It was at an industry screening several years ago of a movie called Cellular that I first laid eyes on Chris Evans. He had that certain something that made me want to see more of him – something beyond his incredible good looks. His star rose with the Fantastic Four franchise and now comes word that he has been cast in Kill Your Darlings as novelist Jack Kerouac. This should be his meatiest role to date!
Chrs most recently co-starred in the drama Push with Dakota Fanning and was adorable opposite Scarlett Johansson in the comedy The Nanny Diaries.
Chris also appears on the pages of Vanity Fair in a series of photo recreations of scenes from West Side Story. That’s him in the photo below getting stabbed. Yikes!
Chris obviously has a lot of gay fans who loved him all the more after reading his recent interview with The Advocate in which he discussed his gay brother: “I’m down with the gays. Mostly I’m hanging out with him and his gay buddies, who are (expletive) hilarious. They’re the funniest people I know. They’ve invited me out to gay bars before, and I said, ‘Look, guys, I’ve got to draw the line there.’ That’s where a photo will get taken, it will run in magazines, and before you know it, I’ll be living down the gay rumor for the rest of my life. [My brother looks like me], but he’s about an inch taller and about four shades tanner than I am. He’s a very fit young man. Believe me, he does quite well for himself.“

Just FYI, Scott Evans, Chris’s brother, has a recurring role on One Life to Live playing Oliver Fish. The character is generally played for laughs and Scott seems quite adept doing comedy.
