Web series “The Horizon” shows what happens when a “religious” parent rejects an LGBT child
The Horizon is the most watched online series made out of Australia and the most watched gay web series in the world.
I tend to watch the episodes in batches and always think I should start posting them on the blog – especially since Days of Our Lives is most certainly in a bit of a lull right now.
Anyway, in this episode, there is a very painful scene with Wilma Bumhurt/Dennis (Patrick James) and the mother who kicked him out of the house when he was just 17 because he is gay.
That was even before he began to dress as a woman.
The mother, all these years later, still does not believe she did anything wrong as her child reminds her of how vulnerable and scared he was at that time.
I always want to ask parents who “love” their kids so much that they throw them out into the streets where they expect the child to go?
The scene on this week’s show plays out in real life all the time. I think these parents need to be held accountable.

Daniel Lewis Frommherz says:
My goodness coming out of the closet is an embarrassment to the mother over there too. It’s such a small small world.
