Got a comment a few weeks ago from a reader who was furious about my posting numerous videos of British diver Tom Daley who is one of the higher-profile openly gay athletes in the world. I think Tom is lovely and since he produces a lot of content about his life, I often share it and will continue to do so – happily. In this latest, Tom answers questions from followers as he painted his diving partner Matty Lee’s fingernails. The pair, who won a gold medal in the synchronized 10m diving event at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, spoke about all things Olympics, training, drag shows, family and more. It’s such a lovely gay-straight friendship that is so close that Matty is godfather to the younger child of Tom and husband Dustin Lance Black.
