Jodie Foster guests on “The Jonathan Ross Show” and chats Scorsese, De Niro & “The Silence of the Lambs”
Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster joined British chat show host Jonathan Ross on the couch this week to discuss her very first role, her diverse acting roles, being directed by Martin Scorsese, The Silence of the Lambs, her notable episode on Black Mirror, her mother’s battle with dementia, and how hard it is trying to get her Taxi Driver co-star Robert De Niro chatting.

What a great talent–actor and director.
Jodie’s latest movie, Netflix, is Nyad. “Sixty-four-year-old marathon swimmer Diana Nyad attempts to become the first person ever to swim from Cuba to Florida.” Google
If you listened to the interview you posted, Jodie did not answer the last question of whether she experienced any adverse behavior from people in Hollywood-i.e. Harvey Weinstein’s behavior. The answer, over the river and through the woods, tells me she has and did not want to name names. The interviewer was not necessarily asking for names just wanted to know if she had. Being in Hollywood for 50+ years I am sure she has encountered a few. What would have been nice is for her to just say yes. She could have said that she has had a few encounters but does not want to go into any detail. It happens to well-known stars as well as those who are trying to move up the ladder in the entertainment business.
Have a great weekend!!
