Happy Birthday to the great entertainer Shirley MacLaine whose stardom has remained at a top level for more than 60 years dating back to her 1955 film debut in Alfred Hitchcock’s The Trouble with Harry.

Such memorable films as Some Came Running, The Apartment, The Children’s Hour, Irma La Douce, Sweet Charity, The Turning Point, Terms of Endearment, Steel Magnolias, Postcards From the Edge, Madame Sousatzkaka, and many more.

Plus many TV specials, TV movies, best selling books and stage performances.

This video is from the 1990 film Postcards from the Edge and it’s probably my favorite MacLaine scene of them all.

It seems quite appropriate for this milestone birthday.
