My pal Ted Johnson of Variety was at the Human Rights Campaign dinner in Washington DC where Hillary Clinton was honored. He writes: Clinton urged those in the crowd to continue to press on even as the administration has taken steps to roll back LGBTQ rights. Trump tweeted earlier this year that transgender members of the military would be banned from service, although it is unclear how the Pentagon will handle those currently serving.

“It is just wrong that in 2017 you can lose your job, lose your home, or if this administration gets its way, be denied a wedding cake simply because of who you are and who you love,” Clinton said.
