WATCH: Greg Louganis tells his story of being an HIV-positive man at World AIDS Day event
Earlier tonight, I attended Voices of Hope, a World AIDS Day community event to inspire the future and remember the past. Greg Louganis, who has traveled from Russia to Amsterdam to New York in the past week, arrived straight from the airport. He was admittedly tired from all the travel but he looked like a million bucks and he really came alive during his talk at the Wallis Annenberg Center in Beverly Hills. I did a Facebook Live video for Gay Star News that I’m embedding for you here. I didn’t get the final few minutes because my battery was running low! But you get most of it and can see for yourself what a truly amazing man Greg is. The event was presented by The Advocate which brought three panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt to Los Angeles in honor of World AIDS Day (see photo below). It was powerful and emotional to see the quilts.
