Video: Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black opens up about his creative process for Academy series

This is really cool. Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black (Milk) is featured in The Academy’s Creative Spark video series.

He takes us into his office and shares his creative process, shows us where he keeps his research, how he gets to the point of an outline (there’s a lot of note cards involved!) and is finally ready to spit out that first “vomit draft” which is like clay and then molded into the final version.
