Video: Betty White fever continues! See her appearance on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno last night
Betty White usually memorizes her lines but on Saturday Night Live, she had to rely on cue cards because she was in virtually every sketch and there were so many last-minute changes.
She was terrific, of course, and as energetic as ever and will be taping an episode of new series Hot in Cleveland tomorrow and I’ll be in the audience!
Here is part of last night’s appearance on The Tonight Show (a portion of Ross Mathews‘ appearance is also included) which was kicked off by a very nice video montage to Betty’s veeeeeeeery long career. It’s such amazing longevity and this new-found rock star status must have been gratifying.
But she remains humble. When she walked out to a standing ovation, Betty cracked: “You should be throwing rocks at me, you’ve had such an overdose.”
The NY Times has a nice piece on Betty’s post-SNL victory lap and USA Today writes about what’s next for the 88-year-old wonder woman.

Betty White is like a “Bob Hope”….irreplaceable !! Smart, funny and an animal lover. A born entertainer….I love everything about her.
