Video: Anderson Cooper and Rosie Perez pay tribute to AIDS activist Spencer Cox who died this week

This is a wonderful tribute to the legacy of Spencer Cox, a member of ACT UP and Treatment Action Group (TAG). Anderson Cooper and his co-host Rosie Perez tell viewers about Cox and the groups that revolutionized the treatment of AIDS and saved countless lives. Cooper urges all to see the documentary How to Survive a Plague which tells the story of Cox and those amazing and resourceful souls who were on the front line in this battle of life and death. Cox died this week at the age of 44 from complication from AIDS.

One Remark

  1. This is very sad to hear. In 1988, while he was still in college, Spencer was my intern at New York’s Drama Book Shop. On his last day of work, before he went back to school, I took him to see the John Waters film, “Hairspray” A wonderful, sassy and funny gentleman, I’ll miss him.
