Just got back from “Remembering Carol: A Tribute to Carol Channing” at McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. Carole Cook opened with “Before the Parade Passes By” and Kristin Chenoweth closed with “Smile.” In between was a plethora of classic stage, television and film performances and personal remembrances from Tyne Daly, Lily Tomlin, Ruta Lee, Gavin MAcLeod, Lynda Bird Johnson Robb, Mary Jo Catlett, John Bowab, Dori Berinsrein, Harlan Boll and performances by Davis Gaines and Alysha Umphress. #carolchanning #hellodolly #broadway #legend
