Tuesday Morning Man: Stephen Moyer!

Love or hate it, the recent live televised version of The Sound of Music was a huge ratings smash and has just been released on DVD.

It’s given fans of gorgeous Stephen Moyer a whole new reason to appreciate the star of True Blood who is a solid singer in the production opposite Carrie Underwood.

The handsome English actor has starred as vampire Bill Compton on the HBO series since 2008. He has roots in the theater including work with the National Theatre of Wales, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Oxford Stage Company.

He began dating co-star Anna Paquin in 2007 when they shot the pilot for True Blood. They are now married and the parents of fraternal twins born last year.

Stephen was supportive when in 2010 Anna came out as bisexual.

“I’ve never been in a relationship before in which, literally within the first three days, all the cards were laid out,” he said in an interview with Playboy that year. “It wasn’t something that was kept from me. I condone what she has done 100 percent, and it’s her business to talk about it, not mine. It doesn’t change anything. I’m proud of who she is.”

Stephen is happy to have so many gay fans telling The Advocate last year: “I feel very at home in that world, so I’m very pleased about it, but I may come in fourth behind Joe Manganiello, Alex Skarsgård, and Ryan Kwanten, if I’m really honest. I’m a little upset. Once upon a time I was doing very well in that area, but after Alex and Joe joined the show, I naturally went down in the pecking order.”

The video below is a homoerotic fantasy sequence Stephen did with one of the show’s other hunks Sam Trammell.
