Tuesday Morning Man: Sascha Bajin!

Up until a few days ago, Sascha Bajin was the coach of the number one female tennis player in the world.

But reigning US and Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka announced on Twitter that the two had parted ways.

The hunky Bajin was named WTA coach of the year for 2018.

He is a former hitting partner of Grand Slam champions Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki.

Bajin thanked Osaka and said he wished her “nothing but the best”.

“What a ride that was,” he tweeted. “Thank you for letting me be part of this.”

Under Bajin, Osaka rose from world number 72 at the start of 2018 to the summit of the rankings little over a year later.

2 Remarks

  1. Makes no sense at ALL to me that Osaka would split with him two weeks after winning her second slam on the trot.

  2. I guess when you get too big for your own head you think you don’t need anyone any more. Well, as the head deflates and the career quickly eclipses, this one will disappear from sight like a balloon out of air. Bajin can do much, much better.
