Tuesday Morning Man: Bryce Harper!
Over a sushi dinner the other night, a baseball-loving friend of mine confessed to me his obsession with Bryce Harper’s hair. I had to look Bryce up and now that I have, I totally get the hair thing. It is glorious! The other night, he did a phenomenal hair flip after hitting a game-tying two-run home run that resuscitated the Washington Nationals’ offense and eventually led to their 6-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs that tied up the series at one. According to The Ringer, Harper’s luscious locks are as much a part of the Bryce Harper Experience that his bat is. “I try to be as calm as I can during the game, but as soon as I hit that homer, I just let it all out,” he said after the game. Last month, Harper tried out a new hairstyle – corn rows – that was loved by no one, according to Sports Illustrated. The 24-year-old star was the National League’s Rookie of the Year in 2012. He tied for the NL lead in home runs in the 2015 Major League Baseball season, and was named NL Most Valuable Player for 2015 by unanimous decision of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.
