Tuesday Morning Man: Brian Joubert!
As I read about French men’s figure skating star Brian Joubert’s gold medal finish over the weekend at the NHK Trophy competition in Nagano, Japan, I kept wondering this: Why did I ever stop watching figure skating?
I used to be so into it, never missing the world championships on television and certainly never the Olympics. Love watching the ladies for their gracefulness and guys for their stunts.
Joubert beat out the USA’s Johnny Weir on Sunday by landing a quadruple toe loop at the start of his free skate routine.
The 25-year-old Frenchman won the world championships in 2007 – the first French champion in 42 years. He will be trying to win his first Olympic medal at the Winter Olympics early next year.
Joubert, a three-time winner of the European Championships, finished sixth in his Olympic debut at the 2006 Turin Games.

The third picture is not Brian. That’s what you get when you rely on a Google image search to illustrate your blog.

Just go to YouTube and do a search for his name. You’ll find alot of shirtless videos of him and one almost homoerotic one featuring some kind of strength and balance machine with a French kinesthesiologist. Brian is only wearing tight briefs and socks. You can tell he definitely goes sunbathing. If you’re too lazy, here you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dC-5iPNUGdQ

And then there’s this pic in some magazine, French I’m guessing: http://www.mostbeautifulman.com/athletes/BrianJoubert/pages/pic03.shtml
