Tuesday Morning Man: Bode Miller!
It’s been such a thrill to see Bode Miller win three medals (so far) at the Winter Olympics. It’s such a contrast to four years ago when he seemed to flake off a bit at the Olympics and went home empty handed.
The 32-year-old Alpine ski racer is now considered the greatest American in his sport’s history. In addition to his five Olympic medals won this year and in 2002, he’s also won World Cup races in all five disciplines: slalom, giant slalom, Super-G, downhill and combined. He is also a four-time World Champion in four different disciplines, failing only to win in slalom.
After skiing independently for two seasons, in October 2009, Miller announced he would rejoin the U.S. Ski Team which clearly makes these latest Olympic victories all the more sweet.
