Tuesday Morning Man: Andy Murray!
Today is the world’s former top-ranked tennis player’s 31st birthday. Andy Murray has not played an official match since last summer due to a long-term hip injury that required surgery. He hopes to play at Wimbledon but is not sure he will be able to. Gutsy Andy has had to play his entire career in the considerable shadows of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic – a trio that has combined for 48 grand slam singles titles. Despite the stellar competition, Andy has still managed to carve out a Hall of Fame career that includes two Wimbledon titles, two Olympic Gold Medals, a US Open, an ATP World Tour Finals crown and a Davis Cup title. He’s won 45 titles in all with the only gaps being the Australian Open (he’s a five-time runner-up) and the French Open (2016 runner-up). Happy birthday to Andy!
