T.R. Knight and “Grey’s Anatomy” to part ways
Since I stopped watching Grey’s Anatomy after the botched lesbian storyline between the characters played by Sara Ramirez and Brooke Smith, I feel more indifferent than I thought I’d be about the news that T.R. Knight has left the show.
E!Online’s Marc Malkin reports that “multiple sources” have confirmed the Emmy nominees’ departure from the medical drama after five seasons of playing George O’Malley.
Malkin writes: Not only was George flatlining at the end of the season finale earlier this month, but the 36-year-old actor has reportedly wanted off the hit ABC series for quite some time. I’m told that tension between Knight and show creator Shonda Rhimes has become unbearable for both. Knight, an original member of the Grey’s cast, was said to have become increasingly frustrated by his character’s lack of storyline and camera face time.
Pre-Grey’s Anatomy, T.R. had co-starred in the short-lived Nathan Lane series Charlie Lawrence but was mostly a stage actor whose credits included playing opposite Patti LuPone in the 2001 Broadway revival of Noises Off.
During his years on Grey’s, T.R. has become one of the most highly-visible out actors in Hollywood and a dedicated gay rights activist. I wish him luck with whatever he chooses to do next!

There is still a lesbian storyline on Grey’s. Callie is just involved with a new woman played by Jessica Capshaw. She’s come out to her dad and they even showed them naked in bed together a few weeks ago.

There was no chemistry whatsoever between Callie and Hahn. They were akward, seemed uncomfortable.
The heat between Callie and Arizona is palpable! It really works. You beleive that these 2 women are madly in love.
If an on screen romance isn’t working, I say pull it. Straight or gay.
