Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black to attend next weekend’s Vanguard Awards in West Hollywood
Next weekend’s Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards are shaping up to be an even hotter ticket at a hot new venue.
I’ve just learned that two-time Olympic bronze medalist Tom Daley will attend the event with fiancee Dustin Lance Black.
After competing in the Summer Olympics in Rio last month, Daley returned to London for a time.
But since last week, he’s been in Los Angeles with Oscar winner Black who is busy editing the ABC miniseries When We Rise.
For the first time, the gala will take place in the heart of West Hollywood.
The venue will be the party pavilion at the Pacific Design Center that HBO uses for its annual Emmy party. The network has donated the venue.
The night’s honorees are Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita and Olympic swimmer Amini Fonua.
Celebrity presenters include Julie Bowen of Modern Family and Olympic diving legend Greg Louganis.
Also expected are NCIS star Pauley Perrette, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, Scandal star Guillermo Diaz, and more to be announced (I’ll keep you posted!).
There will also be performances by the great comedy duo Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy and singer Debby Holiday.
