Tom Cruise confirms he’s filming “Top Gun” sequel

Tom Cruise is on the promotional trail talking up Mission Impossible: Fallout which opens this weekend.

I’m still surprised the star did so little to promote American Made last year which, I think, was his best movie in years.

MI: Fallout will do far better than American Made that is for sure as, I’m sure, will Top Gun: Maverick. Tom paid a visit to Jimmy Fallon last night and shared that he is currently filming the sequel to his 1986 blockbuster.

On-screen rival Val Kilmer is also in the sequel.
