Today’s Morning Man: Thomas Roberts!

Emmy Award-winning TV newsman Thomas Roberts turns 52 today so what better excuse do I need to post a bunch of photos of this most handsome newsman?

Thomas made history over the summer of 2015 when he became the first openly gay man to anchor NBC Nightly News. Thomas also was presented with the Vito Russo Award at that year’s GLAAD Media Awards in New York City and threw out the first pitch at a Baltimore Orioles game.

I will always have so much admiration for Thomas for coming out publicly as a gay man while he was an anchor for CNN Headline News. It cost him as he was soon relegated to a less-visible time slot and soon left the network to become a correspondent for The Insider. Then came his most high-profile years as an MSNBC anchor and correspondent for NBC News. He did morning gigs on Way Too Early and Morning Joe before becoming host of Live with Thomas Roberts.

September 2020, Thomas became the host of The Daily Mail TV, a syndicated daily newsmagazine, and did the job for a few years before the show was canceled.

Here’s hoping we see Thomas in a regular TV gig again soon if that is what he wants!
