Today’s Morning Man: Robert Buckley!

Robert Buckley has long been a favorite of mine and today is the handsome actor’s 42nd birthday.

He’s seen in many Hallmark movies like The Christmas House and its sequel and was most recently a cast member on the series Chesapeake Shores. He had portrayed Major Lilywhite on The CW’s comedy-drama series iZombie from 2015 through 2019.

But I became aware of Robert back in 2007 when he was part of the cast of the delicious Lipstick Jungle that sadly, only lasted two seasons. He then went on to become a regular on the drama One Tree Hill for that show’s final three seasons and was a cast member on the series 666 Park Avenue which only lasted one season.

Buckley’s first big break came when hew was cast as one of the leads in the nighttime soap opera Fashion House starring Bo Derek which ran for three months in 2006 followed by the three month soap American Heiress. The shows were part of a English-language telenovela experiment.

I did an interview with Buckley back in 2008 when he was on Lipstick Jungle and starring in the TV movie Flirting With Forty opposite Heather Locklear. I don’t have a link to the interview but I do have a link to some excerpts that I posted about it on my old Out in Hollywood blog.
