Today’s Morning Man: Dominic Thiem!

Dominic Thiem celebrates his 31st birthday today but is not competing in the US Open which he won just four years ago. He lost in the first round last week and has already announced that this is his final year on the ATP Tour.

Domi has had to receive a lot of wildcards into tournaments after dropping out of the top 100 but most of the tournament directors have been honoring him with an on court ceremony. Especially nice was at the French Open, where he was twice the runner-up. Since he shockingly was not granted a wildcard in to the main draw, he had to say his goodbye after losing in qualifying. But his match was put on the main court and drew a huge crowd.

He has been such an explosive talent and, let’s face it, he’s so handsome and has the best booty in the men’s game! But he has not been the same player since suffering a wrist injury in 2021 and has decided to finally call it quits.

Thiem won 16 ATP Tour singles titles in his career and had multiple wins over Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer.

I hope he stays visible because he’s one of the most appealing tennis stars to ever play the game.
