Today’s Morning Man: Anderson Cooper!
The Silver Fox and father of two turns 56 today!
So let’s make a bit of a fuss over Anderson Cooper who seems to have been achieving more work-life balance in recent years as he juggles fatherhood with his jobs at CNN and CBS News.
He certainly knows how to keep a gig as he has been host of CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 since 2003 and a correspondent for 60 Minutes since 2007. Anderson has won 18 Emmy Awards and two Peabody Awards, as well as an Edward Murrow Award from the Overseas Press Club in 2011.
He came out as gay in 2012 and became the father of Wyatt Morgan Cooper in 2020 and Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper earlier this year. He is raising the children with former long-term partner Benjamin Maisani.

Great for Anderson in keeping his gig as long as he has. I also give him credit and support for creating his own family and what it looks like for him and Ben.
I have always been hesitant to fully embrace his shtick.
I go back to the statement “You are known by the company you keep.” Anderson and Andy C. are so different but yet they are good friends. We all know that Andy can get messy. Maybe Anderson supports this and is living through him. We don’t really know the dynamics of their relationship. But it leaves one to speculate if they are indeed peas in a pod.
Anderson’s recent comments on the Trump town hall tarnished his credentials and lose some respect as a person. He came across as gaslighting and tone-deaf.
